Mims Ballew Hollingsworth attorney Matthew Riek was recently highlighted by the HEB ISD Education Foundation for his service as a member of its Board of Directors.
A longtime Bedford resident, Riek brings decades of experience in public service to the Foundation, including his recent retirement as Associate Judge of the 360th District Court in Tarrant County and the Tarrant County Family Recovery Court. His background offers a valuable perspective as the Foundation supports educational programs and opportunities across the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District.
Riek’s connection to HEB ISD is deeply personal. Both of his daughters attended HEB ISD schools from kindergarten through graduation, participating in Spanish Immersion and International Baccalaureate programs. His wife currently serves as the district’s Executive Director of Special Education.
The HEB ISD Education Foundation, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, works to inspire, innovate, and invest in students and educators throughout the district. MBH is proud to support attorneys who contribute their time and experience to organizations that strengthen the local community.
