Jessica Alvarez

Jessica Alvarez is an attorney at Mims Ballew Hollingsworth, PLLC, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for advocacy to her family law practice. Before becoming an attorney, Jessica built a solid foundation in the legal field through nearly a decade of experience as a legal assistant and legal intern, spanning from 2012 to 2021. This hands-on experience provided her with unique insights into the challenges her clients face and the strategies needed to achieve successful outcomes.

Born in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Jessica moved to Dallas, Texas, at the age of three and is proudly bilingual in English and Spanish. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government with an Emphasis in Legal Studies from Texas Woman’s University, where her interest in the law and dedication to advocacy took root.

Jessica pursued her legal education at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law, where she distinguished herself as an accomplished student and advocate. She was named to the Dean’s List, became a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and excelled in advocacy competitions. Jessica actively participated in mock trial and moot court events, even serving as Chair of the annual mock trial competition.

Her exceptional academic and advocacy achievements were recognized through numerous honors, including the DFW Metroplex Mock Trial Competition Top Advocate Scholarship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy Topics. Jessica also held leadership positions as an Executive Board Member of the Board of Advocates and contributed to legal scholarship as a Staff Member of the UNT Dallas College of Law Review.

Jessica is dedicated to guiding her clients through the complexities of family law with compassion, skill, and a results-oriented approach. She understands the personal nature of these cases and strives to provide each client with tailored representation that meets their unique needs.

Outside the office, Jessica enjoys traveling and creating special memories with her young son, Noah. She also has a passion for golf, a sport that reflects her focus and dedication both on and off the course.
