Prior to becoming an attorney, Jessica gained years of extensive legal experience working as a legal assistant and legal intern between the years 2012 and 2021.
Jessica was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, moved to Dallas, Texas at the age of three, and is bilingual. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government with an Emphasis in Legal Studies.
Jessica attended law school at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law where she excelled in various areas of advocacy and academics. She was on the Dean’s List and a member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.
Additionally, Jessica participated in mock trial and moot court competitions and also chaired the annual mock trial competition.
Jessica’s impressive list of honors and awards include the DFW Metroplex Mock Trial Competition Top Advocate Scholarship and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy Topics.
Jessica was also an Executive Board Member of the Board of Advocates and a Staff Member of the UNTDCOL Law Review.
When she is not in the office, Jessica enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, Sgt. Carlos Alvarez, USMC, their son Noah, and their dog Vinny.
