Tim’s family law experience began prior to becoming a licensed attorney. Following law school, he worked as a legal clerk for a family law firm while waiting to receive bar exam results. Once licensed, Tim worked in general practice focusing primarily on family law and criminal law which allowed him to gain extensive courtroom experience at the start of his legal career. In October 2016, Tim moved to focus exclusively on family law and never looked back.
Tim is known for his attention to detail, extensive preparation, and calmness in the courtroom. He handles all types of family litigation including divorce, complex property division, high-asset divorce, business valuation issues, and contested child custody matters.
Tim grew up in the Grapevine-Colleyville area, and he obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas with honors. During his time at UNT, he served as President for both Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the Sports Marketing Association and was a member of the traveling moot court team.
For law school, Tim attended the University of Arkansas School of Law where he graduated magna cum laude and excelled in all areas of advocacy. Based on his performances in various school competitions, Tim was selected to represent his law school in numerous regional competitions as a member of the negotiations, trial, and baseball arbitration teams.
During his time at Arkansas, he served as President for both the Criminal Law Society and the Sports & Entertainment Law Society. Additionally, Tim was a research assistant for two professors, a Note and Comment Editor for the Journal of Food Law & Policy, and a student attorney for the Life Without Parole Legal Clinic. He also traveled abroad for a summer to study law at the University of Cambridge and ran with the bulls in Pamplona.
Outside of the office, Tim is an avid football fan (both European and American) and enjoys supporting his teams: Tottenham Hotspur and the Dallas Cowboys. He is a co-host on the Doctor Tottenham podcast and vice-chairman of the Official Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Club for Dallas. Tim enjoys playing golf, barbecuing, watching sports, and most importantly spending time with his wife Amanda, and their two daughters McKenna and Vivian.
