I grew up in Marshall, Texas, and after high school, I attended Stephen F. Austin State University, earning a degree in English. Not long after, I made the decision to serve my country by enlisting in the U.S. Navy, where I entered the Nuclear Power Training Program. I trained in Florida and South Carolina before being selected to serve as an instructor—a role that reinforced my dedication to leadership and service.

In 1998, I was stationed aboard the USS John C. Stennis in San Diego, where I deployed twice to the Persian Gulf. During my final deployment in 2002, I was honored with the Navy Achievement Medal as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. After completing my service in 2003, I returned to Texas and earned a second bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Texas at Tyler. My passion for advocacy led me to law school at Texas Wesleyan University, where I earned my Juris Doctor in 2007.

Shortly after graduating, I married my wife, Audrey. We now live in Hurst, Texas, with our two children and are active members of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth.

Service—whether to my country, my community, or my clients—has been at the heart of my life. When I’m not advocating for those I represent, you’ll find me spending time with my family, camping, reading, or involved in church activities. I bring that same sense of dedication and integrity to my work, ensuring my clients feel supported every step of the way.
